“TOP300 Puglia and Basilicata” is the survey carried out by PwC and the Department of Economics, Management and Business Law of the University of Bari Aldo Moro, which aims to analyze the evolutionary dynamics of the sectors of economic activity vital to the area, with the purpose of examining the economic trends of the two regions and highlighting the main characteristics of the local production context.
The research examines the economic, financial, and equity performance of the top 300 companies, headquartered in Puglia and Basilicata, selected based on the turnover recorded in fiscal year 2022. The sample was drawn as of November 30, 2023 using Bureau Van Dijk’s AIDA database.
The survey clearly showed how the growth of the Apulian and Basilicata economy is in line with that recorded in the Mezzogiorno, placing large-scale retail and agribusiness at the top.
